168 SMK
43.5 gr Varget

Nice shooting, HOWEVER, if you had a HORUS VISION HDMR Scope w/ its advanced "H59" reticle, all shots subsequent to your first would have easily been on target.

And 168smk's! Any idea on the velocity at impact? And what's your elevation? On average, 168s start going transonic in the 850 range, but that's at sea level and like 2600-2700mv(if memory serves). You must be upper 2700's and somewhat higher elevation, no?

Yep, license plates have a retroreflective (light returns back to the source) coating. They'll help extend the range of a rangefinder, but so will any cheap retroreflective items like road signs, bike reflectors, etc.

Sometimes ill stick a retroreflective sticker on a steel plate before I head out to shoot it so I get the proper range very easily. Works like a champ.

vfin careful not to believe everything you see when viewing those 'HORUS' commercials. Don't work as easily as the smoke and mirrors make it look. Don't believe me, just take a second look at the vid from 1:10 - 1:20 , now how did he get those couple hits by holding right when wind was from the left?

Now that has to be past transonic. I show 1025ish at 5300 density and 2700mv. If you managed a decent group I'm gonna shit! And you may want to email your results to Bryan Litz!!!
