Suppressors 9mm Suppressor Advice Please

So as it turns out I am not a long range Guru, able to clip off the wings of a gnat @1000
Actually my thing is sub guns, PDW's if you will.
I am clearly late to the party on getting my guns suppressed. Time to get the paperwork started.
I decided to get the best 9mm can first. I may get a dedicated 22 can and perhaps a dedicated can for larger calibers down the road.
My primary use though will be 9mm, three lug on most guns.
Any suggestions appreciated.

This! For me, it’s very quiet shooting 147’s through my CZ pistol and scorpion evo. I have two friends that ordered the 9mm and 22lr traps after shooting mine.

I think I'd go for a Obsidian 45, Octane 45, or Ghost M. Does 9mm, 40S&W, 10mm, 45 ACP, .300BO, as well as others. Don't limit yourself to just 9mm and under.

ETA: Stay away from Crux, ACC, and Gemtech cans, all of these have had service problems lately, if that's important to you.

I would have recommended Crux hands down I have on and I run it like a rented mule in fact I run 9mm .338 lapua, 300wsm through it w/o issue but since the are out of business, look else where

I definitely recommend Rugged. I got the 9mm on a whim at the end of 2018, it wasn’t long into the wait that I started kicking myselffor not getting the Obsidian 45 first. I love the Obsidian 9 but would like the versatility of the 45.

Oh well, I will just get it this year.

The Ghost M looks nice. I assume most forget about running the wipe, seems odd to be a regulated item.

The best one I always grab especially for my pistols is Omega 9K

I’ve been happy with my AAC TiRant. Have both the 45 & 9mm. Hard to find now. If buying now, I’d do the Omega 9k

I'm curious, what did you do for a Nielsen device if you used it on a pistol?

I have the same can as MadDuner. The QuietBore kit comes with everything you need to run it on a fixed barrel (carbine). They also sell boosters ( or Nielsen if you prefer ) that mount right up. I bought their booster and have ran it on two different pistols without issue.

Pistol with booster : remove the first two baffles and insert the booster.

Yep. Obsidian 9mm or CGS MOD 9. 2 of the best 9mm cans available. Both available with 3 lug adapters.

I avoid anything with aluminum baffles because I'm lazy and I like to throw them in the ultrasonic cleaner. I've been very satisfied with my Obsidian 9 and would recommend it although if I could do it again I probably would've gone with the Obsidian 45 just to have more options.

Sico Omega 9k, FTW. Seriously, that damn thing fits EVERYTHING. I have an ASR mount on a Kriss Super V, a direct thread mount for another, metric pistons for some pistols and standard for others --and I know they make a solid and functional 3 lug mount too, a REAL one that works. It's a short can and it gets the job done. Doesn't make pistols or PDW's into carbines.

Also works on .300BLK and is just as versatile. Easily the best 9mm can I've ever used, the ONLY one I use anymore (I keep looking for a host for this damn Mystic X and everytime I find one I use the 9k anyway!). FWIW that monocore Mystic X is also very versatile but it's also 9" long.

A good takedown .22 can cannot be understated. My integral 10.22 is by far the quietest and most fun but a thread on .22 can is just a must buy. If you can wait until summer Capitol Armory does this BOGO sale where you get a free .22 can with purchase of a Sico can. Sometimes Sico doubles down on this sale and you can get 5 cans for the price of 2 or 3.

If there's a better 9mm can, I don't know of it. Sure there's quieter but IME length is superior to sheer suppression in most cases. Besides, anywhere a 9" can will fit, so will a carbine.
