I have 10 rounds apiece of 1x-fired FC cases, one from a lot I bought last year and the other 10 from a box of FGMM bought and shot from my rifle also last year.
Flash holes are deburred, primer pockets cleaned, trimmed to 2.009, and necks outside turned to just be uniform. (all were 100% cut next to the shoulder, most 1/2-2/3 mid-neck going down to usually zero cut at the mouth...--with one 100% all the way).
I've weighed every case and marked them, separated each into two batches of five cases with equal distribution from "light" to "heavy". Both lots have less than 2% weight variation. Water capacity is .4 grains different from heaviest to lightest on one batch, and ZERO for the other (checked only the one lightest and the one heaviest).
The A/B test is for cases loaded with RCBS spray lube still inside the necks, and the other batch with completely dry/degreased necks.
I might do it using the same cases in a different rifle after testing in mine...
Anyway, any suggestions before I charge with weighed charges and seat the 175 SMKs?
