I had the Walther P1 bug for a while and when they hit the C&R list many places sold out quickly. I wanted a gun with the added steel pin in the frame. While looking for a place that had one in stock I ran across the one I ended up getting. A new (if possible) P1 dated 7-81. The gun itself looks like it was never fired. Discrete import mark on grip frame. I stuck it in the like new leather holster along with the spare mag. Someone replaced the grips with wood ones which is growing on me. The P1 is one hell of a deal for a quality 9mm. Now to find some trigger time to test it out.

Supposedly for added strength and to avoid frame cracks. This is debatable as to its usefulness but it had to be added for a reason and I wanted one with the pin.

I like it. It has that ugly, German, form-follows-function thing going on. Where'd you get it?

Just noticed...that is the same importer who imported my CZ82.

I wanted a gun with the added frame pin and couple distributors could not guarantee condition or if it had a pin.I was watching gunbroker and snagged mine from there. I could see exactly what I was getting and it was priced right to boot.
