I continue to have wondering issues with my Frankford Arsenal Platinum. This is my second one and I’m tired of messing with it. Looking to bite the bullet and buy an A&D FX120i. My question is do certain lights and electrical issues effect this scale like the cheaper ones? I want a no hassle scale that won’t wonder.

Thank you for the help!

I may be out of place here, but my understanding is the more sensitive the scale, the more it will be influenced by environmentals. That said, my fx-120 combo will be at my place next week and I will be able to provide you with more review. They are running a 30% off rebate through the end of March on the scale so I figured it was a no brainer.

Scales dont wonder, you may wonder if the the charge is correct due to your wandering scale.:p

To answer your question, no my A&D scale does not wander surrounded by electronic equipment and fluorescent lights.
Love it.

Other than the ceiling fan... No. No issues. Get it and get the V2 auto trickler from Adam. You will not be sorry, the 120 is amazing. Ive had this set up for over a year now and after years of chasing my tail with 2 chargemasters and various tricklers, the only question i had when I got the 120 was, why didnt I do this sooner. DO IT

Happy with A&D here... IMO, buy with confidence. Agree with stpilot above in getting the auto trickler. I would also get a good calibration weight for the scale.

The rebate is makes it super enticing... but the skeptic in me can't help but wonder if they are about to release something new...
I don’t know what they could release that would be dramatically better for reloaders. This scale is pretty much overkill already. That being said I really enjoy mine and it makes taking quick measurements easy and repeatable.

love my 120i...been using it for over a year....not sure about the electronic issues i just keep everything that can cause those problems away from mine...if you decide to go with an auto trickler hit me up i have one i dont use.

I had a long day ? although I feel like my scale does have a mind of its own so it may be able to wonder!

I thought I’d pass this along to you fine folks

With the rebate 375$ shipped! Crazy deal I ordered one.

I love the scale, and the combo. couple things that i didnt realize about the combo. the powder dispenser is small doesnt hold enough powder to load 100 rds of 6.5cm. its hard not to spill a little powder from a 8lb jug when filling without a funnel. To set the precise weight of 41.70 grains you have to precisely trickle up your first charge to set it. Not like a chargemaster that you enter your 41.7 in the keypad and hit a button. Couple things that are pretty much essential upgrades, the area 419 trickler base and powder cup plus a calibration weight. i also had to add a small straw to the trickler tube to get less overthrows. but overall it has helped get my es/sd lower and speed up the process from the chargemaster. I have kept a charge master just to help set the first charge weight.

I have my cell phone, wi-fi speakers etc... on my bench. Have seen no interference with the FX-120 at all. I have all led lights in the gun room so not sure about florescent but I highly doubt they would cause any problem. Air movement is much more likely to affect it so I close the overhead vents, turn off ceiling fan etc... when loading. The scale and Autotrickler have been very solid performers for me. I mounted the trickler with some 2 sided tape on a left over piece of 3/4" melamine. Like it much better than just the stock base. Also found a 1/4 cup plastic measure to be perfect. The long handle makes it much easier to get it in and out of the pan without bumping the tube on the trickler.

Posted this in another thread too but but figured it should go here too. For everyone that thought they were getting a great deal. I bought a fx120i through CE for $500 submitted the rebated form and I just got this email response from A&D. Looks like they're trying to get out of honoring the rebate.

Hi Ken,

Thank you for choosing A&D Weighing. As this price is already under the 30% off of list it does not quality for this rebate.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
