I have loaded thousands of rounds with the Hornady match 6.5 creedmore die set. When I got the rifle, I started load development using a Redding. 0.29 bushing to achieve 2 thousandths neck tension IIRC. Tonight, I was charging cases and seating bullets, but I am able to pull the bullet out by hand?? I switched to the 0.288 bushing and it resolved the issue. I am going to load a few and test fire. But I am unsure why the 0.29 bushing wouldn't work all the sudden? I measured the internal diameter of both bushings and they both measure 0.002 shy of indicated diameter (0.288, 0.286). I have these cases annealed and I believe I am only 2 firings out since last anneal, but they have 8 or so firings on this Hornady brass. Thoughts? Any precautions I should take before test fire?

How many times have you loaded this particular brass? It could be that the necks are getting a bit thinner from wear and tear.
It could also be, if it is new/different brass than before, that the manufacturing process yielded a different neck thickness size (i.e., thinner) and you need to squeeze the necks a bit more to get it to achieve the targeted neck tension.

This is the same 200 rnds of hornady brass that i purchased in anticipation of the build. It probably has 7-9 loadings. No case head separations yet, but that was one of concerns, that the brass may be getting thin.
I have been impressed and pleased with this batch if brass. But im not running these loads stupid hot either. 41.7gr H4350 pushing a 140 hybrid 2725 ish.
I'm currently on my tenth loading of 200 Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor cases and all is still good and tight.
It is not a hot load and brass has been annealed every other firing. Load is 41.2 grain of H4350 pushing a 140 ELD-M bullet to an MV of of 2690 fps out of a 24" 6.5 CM factory RPR barrel.
Barrel currently has just over 2100 rounds and I plan to keep loading them until either the brass or the barrel craps out. Once one or the other gives up the ghost, I will replace the barrel, toss all the old cases, and put 200 new cases into the rotation.

Same story here. But i think im going to go back to 308 for a while. Im tired of not being able to find powder and bullets, but then again have not had to look in a while. I did have a spare bartlein turned at the time the rifle was built, so thats been in the safe waiting.
