Was going through some old pictures and we came across this PIG of a Mule deer my Dad took when he was about 14. So, 1955-ish.

Never knew about it, and don't know anymore details... Dad had never mentioned it.

The buck just has a huge body ! It looks like a damn steer hangin up there.

    Just wanted to share it.

Looks like a real nice buck.... Neat piece of personal history there. I remember going through pictures when mom passed away, there was a lot of things we still have no idea what they were.

Sorry about the loss of your Daddy. I thank God every day for the things my Daddy instilled in me, The love of God, Guns and Country. Would've been nice to have been granted more time with him here, but am very appreciative of what we had. BTW WHAT a buck! Hopefully you can glean some info from your Aunt.

Was taken on our Family ranch in Wolf, WY. Right below Eaton's Dude Ranch.

    Keep the memory alive......

From the expression on Your Dad's face, I'd guess He wasn't to sure that the rigging will hold that Jumbo. Looks like at least 6 points on the left side. Bet it left a seasons worth of meat...

Great picture! Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy the older classic pictures. I like to read through all the old hunting journals, the old Bowhunting journals are great. Back when Fred Bear was all over the place. It's sad that those times and that type of game are a thing of the past.
