First off, I'm not normally a stickler for spelling and punctuation, but jesus christ folks, can you use some punctuation and ATTEMPT to spell shit correctly?

In this day and age of spell checker, I just don't get all the misspellings. Never mind the conscious streams of thought, that some type out with no punctuation. Fuck. Some of the worst culprits seem to think themselves to be quite intelligent and opinionated, and yet look like they have a 3rd grade education.

Do everyone a favor; Take some time to post and quit looking like a crayon eating, window licking neanderthal, that the other side wants to paint us as being. Some of these posts are just fucking painful to read. Lol! It fucking makes my head hurt and eyes bleed, trying to decipher some of the shit some people post.

If someone posts something then they obviously want someone to read it. If you don't make any attempt at good writing skills then you lose some of your audience.

Studies show that it takes a person 20% more time reading the same text on a computer screen compared to a paper document.

I know someone who completed a job application with a pencil that was barely readable. When it was pointed out to him that he did a poor job of completing the application his response was "they are not hiring me for my writing skills but my skills as a machinist."

That is true but if there was another machinist applying for the job that produced an application, even if it wasn't typed, but was very readable then they would make a better impression with all other skills being equal.

This forum is a great place for information but people have lost me when they do a pis poor job of presenting their thoughts.

Thank you for those posts. I've been wanting to say the same thing for a long time, but did not want to endure the onslaught of "snob" responses that it would have generated. Some of the comments not only reflect a degree of ignorance on this board, but on most if not all of the other Internet forums. Please note... Ignorance is not the same as stupid. Ignorance can be fixed, stupid can not. The bottom line is, you do not have to have a degree to use correct capitalization, punctuation, grammar, use a spell checker, and compose coherent sentences.
This is all elementary school stuff and I would submit that everyone here has at least a 3rd grade education. I'm not perfect and don't claim to be. I put commas in the wrong place and a misspelled word will slip by me, but I try to take pride in what I write so I won't be looked upon like an escapee from the turnip truck.
Take some pride in what you write. You will feel better about yourself<maybe> and your posts will be a lot more pleasant for the rest of us to read.

I know I'm going to catch all types of shit for this response. I suggest you look up the correct use of a comma. You used it incorrectly several times, for example after neanderthal. You capitalized Jesus but not Christ. Also you don't capitalize after a semi-colon. Let the venom rip PMI.

Same as with automated unit tests, integrated development environments with auto complete, interactive interpreters with "notebooks", and auto correct/spell check and search engines - the reliance on this technology makes the user retarded.


Also, many don't realize that SHIFT + ENTER adds a newline without form submission.

Neither "Jesus" nor "Christ" seem to be capitalized, "Neanderthal" should be, "window licking" and "crayon eating" should be hyphenated, and "Lol" should probably be all caps.
