My girlfriend's first cousin is a Navy SEAL who is currently deployed in the Afghanistan and Iraq region. She has been in contact with him since the tragic events that we've seen in the news. He knew seven of the SEALs who were victims of the attack, five of them were friends but two were very close personal friends of his. He and the rest of his SEAL mates are tougher than nails but having lost so many of their team at once is really weighing on their emotions.

I am asking that you all keep Sean (her cousin) and his SEAL mates in your thoughts and for those of you who are religious...you know what to do. Our boys need us more than ever right now.

Thank you all, sincerely and from the bottom of my heart.

Re: A Special Request...

This is the Navy Hymn I grew up singing at school back in Blighty. Backed by the full sound and depth of a church organ it's a fitting piece.

God Bless Sean and his fallen brothers.

Eternal Father, Strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bid'st the mighty Ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
O hear us when we cry to thee,
for those in peril on the sea.

O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at Thy word,
Who walked'st on the foaming deep,
and calm amidst its rage didst sleep;
Oh hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea!

Most Holy spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude,
And bid its angry tumult cease,
And give, for wild confusion, peace;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea!

O Trinity of love and power!
Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe'er they go;
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee,
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.
