I am sorry, but this is no where close to being accurate. When the can grabs the last tooth on the mount, it is tight. It doesn't come loose. You don't have to "crank it down one more tooth." When its on the last tooth, you will know. I have run this can on several SBRs from 8" to 12.5" and several machine guns. I have run it on bolt guns and AR-10~ platform and it has never come loose. I have never had to tighten the can down after a mag dump. That is the sole purpose of a ratchet mount.
It does not surprise me one bit that a Remington rep does not know their product. I shoot this can on a weekly basis, often times several times a week. The only mounts that I don't recommend from AAC are the 18t. The 51t is a good mount.
