I have the opportunity to get one of these but can find zero info on it. There is nothing on this site, or AACs site. I have not even seen the can yet. My dealer just called to tell me they got a couple in because he know i was in the market for a Win Mag rated can.

He told me it mounts on the 51 tooth and is Win Mag rated.

Does anyone here have any knowledge of these cans?

Don't think this attach to 51T. According to this page, it is 90T mount.

Re: AAC mk13

One thing to check is.... what i had. Look at the end cap of the suppressor. DONT CALL THIS BAFFLE STRIKES. Look for a so slight bit of "end cap contact" I had this once, drove me nuts till the threads where corrected.
It was very hard to see. It took lots of lights, mag glasses, and inspection to find this but sure enough it was there.
and not catastrofik contact, I have no idea how to spell that.

Re: AAC mk13

I considered one when I was shopping for my .30 Cal precision suppressor.
Hearing one in person next to a TBAC 30P-1, along with accuracy performance, 30P-1 wins hands down.

The only reason I would consider one would be for a 308 AR type platform.
For a bolt gun, the threaded 30P-1 is more solid.

Not bashing AAC products.
Just relaying my pre-purchase thinking and post purchase experience.

The TBAC 30BA seems to be getting the same results as the TBAC 30P-1.
The only negatives that I can see with the 30BA is added weight due to the brake and exposed threads.
My concerns with a 300SD would be the AAC mount and performance differences.

If I were doing a MK13 type build, I would go with the 30BA, the SureFire FA762SS, or the KAC MK11 Suppressor (only if I wanted an authentic Mk13 MOD5 look.)

Re: AAC mk13

You couldnt give me a KAC suppressor other then their Nt4 and that is stretching it. The 300SD is probably going to out perform most Ti cans on 308 and 300WM because of sheer volume as compared to the TBAC.

When I get mine in I can do a head to head test.

Re: AAC mk13

I believe the 300SD was renamed the 300TM, and the MK-13 is different in that the 300TM is a thread mount and the MK-13 uses the 90T ratchet mount. They also differ in length and weight.

Re: AAC mk13

the SD, was QD. other than that you are right. same cans. tm is thread on, mk13 is 90t QD.

KYS, when you get the mk13 PLEASE do a comparison with it and the TBAC. those are the 2 cans im torn between.

Re: AAC mk13

Well I have the 300SD so its the same thing just a different name....
On my 284 the AAC is doing better suppression wise. The TBAC is a touch louder. I couldnt be exact without sound equipment. But I think Lowlight and I will address that soon enough in our suppressor round up that we have planned for November.

I know I'm digging up an old thread, but did you do your suppressor round up and what were the results?

I have no experience with Liberty. They don't seem to big on advertising or making it to shows/demos. I have seen one of their 30 cal cans, once. But pretty much every major brand you mentioned + Elite Iron, Surefire, YHM, SAS, Hooper Ordnance, maybe others that I am not thinking about.

A year and half ago I bought a Mk13 because I could not find a 30P-1 anywhere and there was a wait for serial numbers. I could not be happier with this suppressor and if the 300-TM were available I would be writing another $200 check to the BATF with "AAC XXX" in the reference line. But the situation has reversed itself and I am now purchasing the 30P-1. Suppressor shift is just under 1/2 MOA, it locks up vault tight, and has no impact on group size. Now that I've found the magical load this is a 1/3 MOA rifle with or without the can. The only drawback, and it's for others, not me, is the blast from the brake. If I felt the need for another QD precision rifle can I would not hesitate to buy another one.

I also have an AAC Element 2. While others have had issues with AAC customer service my experience is the reverse. Here's a few pics (before and after the sniper gray cerakote).
