As a long range, "precision rifleman" you should be able to range your own targets, make your own wind call and spot your own impacts. Yea, the spotter is there to take the load off some of the tasks a shooter but is ultimately only there to confirm what you (the shooter) should already know.

 
It’s amazing how many kids grow up hunting and not hearing anything about the shot process after slow, steady squeeze. ??‍♂️ People that hunt and haven’t been exposed to proper recoil management always say, “it felt like a good shot” when they actually have no clue where it went. I’m am grateful for having seen the light.

That was the stage we started on. Setup was a pain, and since we couldn't figure out a way for shooter, spotter, and RO to all see the target on the left through the loophole, we didn't spot that one. We spotted for each other on the other three down in the floor of the valley.
