Anyone put a ZCO using a Spuhr on the ATX yet?

This is my first AI rifle and it's wonderful: fit, finish, feel, and accuracy. I have one issue though, why the hell is a 4mm hex included in the comb when it only adjusts the comb angle and offset when a 3mm actually adjusts the LOP/comb height? Also, why include the other hexes in the trigger pack but not the 2.5mm to adjust the damn shoe? Did this get overlooked on the manufacturing sprint to deliver the rifles 6 months late?

I also have a stupid question: say someone was stupid enough to buy an AXSR AICS chassis for just the buttstock, I can just take the back end off and attach to the at-x right? If that's the case, why doesn't AI just split the damn things and sell them out?

Last thing, I talked to someone at EO, they said that they're hoping to get those bridges....before year end, no news on the hinge and stock.

How many times do people really use the folder.
It’s mainly for

-taking cool pictures
-transporting (you can just pull the handguard and barrel with the qc system)
-cleaning (you can just pull the barrel with the qc system )

Edit. No qc handguard

folding stock uses for me:

fold it so it fits in the tractor, combine, sprayer better with suppressor on

leave suppressor on with stock folded gun fits in the safe better

Not having to pull your barrel to clean has got to be worth something as far as not having to check zero every time

I’m just trying to justify to myself not spending whatever extravagant amount Ai is going to want for the hinge lol

you guys didn’t help lol
THIS IS ALL OF US. I feel like this is the understanding with AI. They want to charge like $84 for a qd socket on 3” of pic rail. Also they showed the gun with a bag rider in literally all the stock photos—but no bag rider.

Don’t worry. They’re busy making chassis for people who don’t want to purchase a full AI rifle. Once they’re done attending to the partial AI fans, they’ll get back to the actual AI supporters. Sorry they put you last. It’s like an abusive relationship.
So, it’s like reverse AA where we acknowledge the relationship but still want it?

Our AA can be Accuracy Anonymous I guess—I’m betting the ASR buttstock is like 1–1.2k and I’ll probably preorder it hoping it’ll get delivered on time.

Weren't you trying to sell your AXSR? AI supporter... ;)

Yes you can. The Aussie's already did it with their PrePro AT-X

FYI - my 6 BRA AT barrel does NOT headspace correctly to the AT-X

** Public Service Announcement **

Though these are *supposed* to be compatible with AT barrels & AX barrels - make sure you check headspace if you swapping barrels across rifles.

**Note everything is off to the smith to be checked, will know 100% once I hear back...

How did you find the issue?

Take it you're not a reloader lol? If the hs was shorter than his last barrel he would get resistance upon closing with his sized brass from his previous barrel....if the new barrel has more hs then he checked it either with a hs go gauge and scotch tape or a no go gauge more than likely

LOL. You must be new around here…

But in all seriousness, who chambered that 6BRA barrel?

Difference in brass size. However since I don't have gauges I will have the smith doublecheck to make sure that there is a problem in the barrel, and not somewhere else. He has the measurements from the AT and can compare to the AT-X

This barrel on the AT-X seems to have more headspace than when it was on the AT, so my brass got around 6.5 thou longer. However I am going to have the smith measure the AT-X and compare with the #'s from the AT so we can see if it was that or some other mistake I made.

...Normally its some mistake I made somehow along the line - either in resizing or something...

Also, I am not a normal AI shooter, normally I shoot a Bighorn TL3, and have shot a few AI's over the years, but none consistently. I have however high hopes for the AT-X since it solves a lot of the stock/chassis problems I didn't like with the prior AI's... Isn't it common for the AI barrels to work across platforms, or is there a lot of variation? I kind of assumed that if they had a swappable barrel then headspace should be consistent across the platforms? Was that a wrong assumption?

This was my big hope that I could run multiple barrels (308 for practice, 6.5 for manbun, 6GT for fabulous competition). Definitly makes me nervous (or more nervous than I already am). Have not seen others mention this issue, but I am still a plebe.

That's not out of the norm difference in size. My AI's headspaces about the same amount shorter than what is considered "spec" from AI. It is fine. Just shoot the brass and bump it .002 from the new measurements. No worries. I wouldn't go and bump the brass back down 6.5 thou each time but blowing it out then bumping it .002 is no issue.

AI is going to be more consistent than any other mass manufactured action out there but it won't be as exact as a ARC, Zermatt, Impact, etc. It is still very "pre-fitt-able" and be safe.
