Accuracy International bipod.....worth the coin?

Re: Accuracy International bipod.....worth the coin?

Pete, I like the TRG bipod with it's lower centre of gravity. I feel it offers better stabilty, and feel, than the spigot mounted pods.

The AI I would pick for combat type use hands down.
Atlas for comps hands down for the adjustability.
Then the Harris I use on my plinking, recreational type shooting rifles.

If you use rubber boots on the AI feet IMO it improves the function on all surfaces. I have had a couple as well as a some of friends, all have had the pin in the lock for the leg extension come out, a drop of lock tight has solved that problem.

The Atlas has become my favorite, lighter, lower to the ground, panning with the improved tension device which Kasey updated. As a bipod for military application which one could hold up to the abuse “Grunt Proof 100% of the time”, neither, but the AI might have the edge only because of weight.Very few devices can survive 29 Palms, including solid steel balls.

Unsichtbar Thanks, I hope that you'll give the V8 a chance, we are driving towards "Grunt Proof 100% of the time"....
