Re: Accuracy International Pics

In all the years i have run AI I have never taken a pic of them all together. Many have come and gone over the past 10 years but this is what I kept.

And there was me thinking your lack of posts was because you had sold up and retired from AI's !!!

My new AIAW. Yes I know sling is on backwards. Slowly breaking it in. 100 rounds thru it now. Best 5 shot group so far 0.2". Even a blind squirrel occasionally finds an acorn.

Re: Accuracy International Pics

This thread definitely has the best AI porn on the internet. I plan on taking the AI plunge after the first of the year and it is not making the decision between the AE Mk III and AX any easier at all.

Back to staring....

Probably fine, you're able to push the mag up and move it to places where it won't be able to go with a rifle in there. Put the action in there, then see. Don't look for flaws in a chassis that has no B/A in it, that's like reviewing a scope at the gun counter of a store. Get it setup how it's supposed to be used, then see how it works.

If the mag comes out with the action in there then you likely have an issue. </div></div>

After playing with this chassis for a while I am still not liking the magazine setup. I takes some getting use to manipulating the mag into the chassis. As far as the release goes, my gunsmith had to lengthen the mag catch to get my Tac 30 AW action to work with AW mags in this chassis.

Re: Accuracy International Pics

Have any of you find the Atlas Bipod a significant improvement over the standard AI bipod, I've never mounted a Harris on my AI so don't know about that..but a lot of people seem to rate the Atlas very highly, I've yet to try one, any thoughts from anyone who's compared both the AI bipod and the Atlas?

Re: Accuracy International Pics

Personal preference. I haven't matched an AI bipod to the Atlas but I have matched an Atlas against a TRG bipod and I personally like the Atlas better. So now that I have an AI, I still run the Atlas spigot.

Wow, you might need to let your wallet cool down before getting anymore.

Just picked up an AW308 w Sphur mount and Nightforce 3.5-15x50, Atlas bipod, Pelican short case and four 10 round mags from Mile High today, broke the bank but sure is nice, too busy playing with it right now to take any pics but will try tomorrow, now I need a can which'll take $800 and six months!

It may not be a law, but it is close enough to one. Eventually S&B scopes have made their way onto 2 of my AI's - as funds allow & bargains turn up, I can see more S&B's in the future !

Is it a law that AIs have to have S&B scopes? It's gotta be like 50% of the pics...

Ok, who here has had a go at reducing your stocks weight. Im thinking of getting out the mill and seeing how much i can reduce it from. When your old like me it starts to get a bit heavy after a long stalk.
Also i had a shoot of a AW today with viper skins. Geez they change the feel of the stock so much. I liked it so much i ordered a set straight way. I have never been real comfortable with the thumb hole of the AW, but with the viper skins, it was an instance relief to the palm.
