Took the TBAC out to Range 4 for a 1,000yd day; heading OCONUS so I won't be shooting for a while. Winds were at 10-15 mph. What's unique is the range is in a bowl so the 10mph at range level is tame considering the real wind at ground level (above us) was 20-25mph, which is unusual for us here in NoVA.
Started the session shooting my 600yrd steel to check velocity / true. After I shot my first string (just under the red stripe), I let the firing line shoot my steel (you'd think I'd know better by now).

I was getting schooled by the wind on MCBQ R4 with the AE Mk l in 260R. Good training and turned out to be a beautiful day.

With the 6mm 26” MTU barrel and everything pictured, it is 22.2lbs. I think it was about 19lbs when I weighed it with the carbon barrel on it before adding the Impact 4000.
We are really liking them! Trued the GB data to match existing Kestrel 5700 data and it seems to be spot on.
Somebody needs to develop a telescopic barrel so we could just run those puppies in and out of the forend…

Always sad to see such rifles collecting dust. Rifles are made to shoot, you can put them on the wall after 30 barrels. Others are desperately searching for those and have to pay ridicolous prices to be able to shoot one. I’ll never sell the AT. It’s the holy grail of AI’s. The ATX fate has yet to be determined down the road.
It does have a nice feel to it though. The centerline of the rifle is similar to my other AT. Just with a chassis. I wanted a feel similar to what I have vs the taller/blocky feeling my AX had.
If I don’t like it I’ll sell the ATX chassis and get a takeoff AT thumbhole folder for this to
Edit: if I ever do go back to the AX platform I’d put a thumbhole on it like @Huskydriver did. That rifle was sick!!
I shed a tear just writing I sold that rifle! There’s not many rifles I legit would never part with but that AT is one I won’t. Everything I wanted over all my years shooting is that rifle.
I wanted another rifle for target shooting. Something I can run year round as a fuck around rifle while my green AT is working crop damage shifts in the farm fields.
Trigger on this ATX is phenomenal though I give it that for sure

Last missing piece of the puzzle with the addition of the BT57-QK monopod. Was stressful cutting into that cerakoted thumbhole stock but end result is perfect !

Finally cleaned a PRS Skills Stage. Slow I know but I feel so much more stable now using the Vision Chassis.

@Steelcityprecision 1 Day Team Match. Format was hike to blind holding area, self stage brief in blind holding area, move to stage, find, range and engage with 6 min par time. Rinse and Repeat. Covered about 4 miles in 5hrs over six stages.

A couple of months ago I posted about my Accuracy international Coopermatch which I was planning on converting from single shot to magazine fed and looking for a Chassis to drop it into. J-Ham absolutely pulled though, being an absolute legend and posting his AT chassis from the land of the free to the land of haggis and whisky (one big favour still outstanding).
Its just been finished (magazine well milled out and new bedding screw holes) by Jack at JR firearms so I thought I would take the opportunity to give credit to those who made this possible. Thank you J-Ham, Jack and EOD100
I'll post another photo when she's fully dressed.

Our local PRS club has 3 AI's in it. All AT-X's. All 3 were in the top 5 of the match.
Decided to take the AT out looking for Mule deer
What is the extra dial on top of the elevation turret? I have a 7-35 ATACR, but neither mine nor any of the others I've seen have that.
I saw the On <->Off markings and wondered. I wasn't aware there was a military-specific version. Any other differences? Also, other than in the military itself, are those available anywhere?

Border Patrol getting in on the action. Interesting choice to go with the AT-X (i'm assuming in .308 but could be wrong).
Might be the real reason for the ATX discounts going on right now. AI tempting all of the hardcore Border Patrol cloners.
Any advice on cutting the AT skins? Is it hard to do a clean job of it?
SportingServices accidentally sent the wrong thumbhole adapter (unfolding vs folding) and while they're happy to replace it I'm not sure I want to wait the 16-18 weeks they're saying it'll take.
