This damn 308 barrel is way to long.

I want a new barrel, preferably in the 18-20” range.

Proof has a 20” I can get for like $500.

20” seems nice, but I’m gonna run a can so 18 seems more ideal.

Anything else in that $$$ range that can touch the proof pre-fit?

AI takeoffs come up in the px a decent amount. Be a Bartlein or LW depending where it’s from

I’ve been a looking. I’ve been tempted to sell/trade my 260 barrel for one as I’m too into the 308 to start messing with a different caliber lol.

I'ma do a lil mini review in the t6xi thread but overall for its street price the 318 is a great scope. Best glass I have seen in a Steiner ever and wouldn't be surprised if it's the same in the xtr pro. Turrets/paralax are meh but for it's price point this thing is hard to beat sub 2k.

That’s probably the easy button. Gotta find a somewhat local smith who can chop/thread it. I’d loose the wrench flats but may be cheaper overall.

A 16" skinny barrel in an ATX chassis is probably going to look dumb. What you probably want is a Vudoo 360 barreled action with a fat bull, short CF barrel. And a 1.5" user serviceable .30 cal suppressor.

Why you gotta lose the wrench flats.... Like 5 min to remill some.75 flats assuming you have a standard ai profile barrel.... Give Matt at sawtooth or Greg at buggoles a shout

For reference. 1727F in the ATX chassis with a can on there. It's gonna look dorky with the tiny little anschutz mag but function over form I suppose. I would opt for a straight taper 1.20 barrel on a V360 personally.

It's good to see the Annie's getting some modernity to it.

Just did. I think OTM is close by too. Gonna chase a few leads. Got plenty of time since for the next 6 weeks I’m on daddy duty while the wife recovers so it may be a 2023 endeavor lol.

About as custom as a factory AI rail can get! Chopped, profiled, and then blasted with Cerakote color of choice. With all the pre-fits in the wild, it's easy to scoop one up and cut it to length too. The hardest part is filing the Form 1
