Accuracy International Picture Thread

Some of us here like to actually shoot well, and not collect rifles like purses 👜 😉
Some of us do both. Less argue-y more pic-y.

What solvents are safe to use on bolt and action

Cause my one is gummy af feels like a rpr
I use Breakthrough Clean Solvent. If I had to though, I'd use Automotive Brake Cleaner. Fast and easy way to clean barrels too; a trick I picked up from Phoenix Weaponry in Colorado. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe it down. I then use Shooters Choice FP10 for the bolt and to clean/treat the barrel. It's less messy than grease.

Tall scope mounts/rings still make your $5-10K rifle look like you had it assembled at the big box gun store by a guy who keeps arguing about the superiority of the .410 shotgun as a home defense weapon.

And I collect handguns like purses... not rifles.

i feel attacked. :ROFLMAO: the 410 with 3" shells is an excellent home defense weapon. why is that in dispute?

Oh contraire, I mean farmers tan, as in work, sun up to sun down…

It is a little different color combo than most. It’s good when the dirt shows!
Ah, I stand corrected then. Around here (ND/MN) “farmer’s tan” refers to the actual tan of a person, usually dark neck (esp the back neck) and forearms and white-ass upper arms, chest, and legs. 👍

You are absolutely correct ✅! People and things that represent hard work. I live on a farm in SW MO and it gets hot 🥵

Anybody have some pics of accuracy international rifles (AT?) with heavier sporter barrels? Particularly interested in something like a #3b or #4 Bartlein, which are apparently classified as Light Bull and Bull sporters by Bartlein.

Don’t necessarily care about the brand of barrel, just that it’s a heavier sporter. If I get one I wanted to make sure my AT doesn’t look stoooopid.

I’m sure it’s in the thread here already but who’s handling the warranty and who did you talk to about it besides them?

I’m not sure who it was at AINA that I’ve been emailing as they no longer sign emails with their name since they’d rather remain anonymous it appears.

I tried going through MHSA but they said I might as well go through AINA since they’d have to order them too as despite their best efforts to find some in their shop they didn’t have any extras.

I ordered a set through Sporting Services UK at the same time so I’m curious if those will come before the warranty replacements from AINA. It wouldn’t surprise me if they do though.

Ok. Sounds typical for AINA. I’ve used MH for several AI items (not warranty) and Kent has gone above and beyond to answer questions and check with armorers in the shop for parts I needed. That would have been my suggestion but seems you’ve tried that already

I’m assuming SS didn’t have them in stock when you ordered? I bought thumb wheel cheek piece screws from them recently and they arrived in a few days

Yeah MHSA tried and I don’t blame them as they are at the mercy of AI/AINA.

I do blame AI/AINA though as there’s no reason whatsoever that they shouldn’t have at least one (or a set if that’s how they come) of every part for every rifle that they support in stock. Colored parts like rails could just be stocked in black to reduce inventory costs.

I guess they figure that you just need to have spare rifles since you may have one down for months because of a small part being out of spec from the factory.

I know I’m ranting a bit but I just can’t believe how bad AI sucks at supporting their products in regards to civilian customers. I’m guessing if I was a LEO or MIL customer this wouldn’t be an issue and I would have had them within a week.

This is unprofessional and it truly annoys me when companies do this.

What's the hold up with SS UK?
The item not in stock?

My recent order with then (not to the US) took about a week to arrive.
