i have what I believe is a AIAW rifle in 300 win mag marked G22....has a serial number that starts with BWB 96 SM 34XX. Anyone have any idea what this is? Has a light green stock skins, consistent with German military and some military proof marks. I have no idea what exactly is.... thanks

Indeed, pictures. Certainly seems like a german military or police contract gun. I have a 4-16 s&b thats marked "g23" with yardage come-ups on the knob as well as the normal mil scale. I think I was told or read somewhere that its the scope that would go to your rifle.

I believe thats been recalled  you need to send it to me. It's a German contract gun, a while back on facebook Larry Vickers had posted of pic of his saying they were quite rare in the US, I cant seem to find that post. In 1998, the German Bundeswehr adopted the first folding-stock Magnum version of the AW chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum (7.62×67mm) and with optics made by the German company Zeiss as the Scharfschützengewehr 22 (G22). And here is a translated wikipedia: https://translate.google.de/transla...e.wikipedia.org/wiki/G22_(Gewehr)&prev=search

You Sir, have a moonrock and I'm kinda jelly. If you ever want to sell please PM me.

Unless you're in or about to be in financial trouble, don't sell that rifle. You'll regret it forever..

Unless you sold it to me. Then, maybe not?

Larry is again posting pics of his on
Facebook.
Your serial # does not fall in range of 10 manufactured for the German Government according to the AI cert Larry posted.
