Mark and the AO crew did it once again. I haven't taken possession of it yet, but it will be in my hands this Monday afternoon. I can't wait to make love to it.

I only finger loved it, but it is phenonmenal. The bolt feels as if it is running on 100 perfectly greased ball bearings. It's wicked smooth. My Surgeon 591 doesn't come close to it.

I am sure Gray can provide you with a field report.

I've shot the BAT in comps where both sand and mud/water were blown into the action and it did not flinch a bit. As Papa said it is super smooth, and smoothest action I have felt that is a Rem 700 clone. The fit and finish are excellent and it drops into all the chassis'. They did their homework on this one!

Do it. I've used every action that's available, and I'll go out on a limb and state that they all felt like a Zebco 33 and the BAT is a Abu Garcia Revo. Something like that, and according to my 100 yard experience.

After waiting all day for it I finally have it in my possession. I am ready to dump my Surgeon and Remington 700 barreled actions to switch to BAT Tactical actions exclusively. Sweet Mother!

Is is 3 lug or 2? If 3 does the bolt have a shorter lift?

Looks awesome. I'm thinking my Surgeon's are outdated after seeing this and handling my Brother's Defiance/Templar - felt much more precise.
