My buddy just received a ACOG model# TA31F-RMR he ordered.
The question is, The configuration does not match the box description. He ordered it with a red chevron but came with yellow. SN match on the box and sight, he talked to the factory and that configuration has never been made.
He wants to know if it worth anything as a collector item or just return and get a new unit.
Thanks

Re: ACOG question

I don't see how it is all that "rare" and it certainly isn't really "collectible" in terms of having additional value. Basically...he got a standard TA31F (which is available with a yellow chevron reticle) and Trijicon installed the RMR with the RM01 mount on it. This could be done by anyone with the inclination to add the RMR/mount to their TA31F.

If he wants the red chevron TA31F-RMR...have Trijicon swap it out.

Re: ACOG question

Because a factory makes an error and a person ends up with a "rare" version does not mean that it is any more valuable than a correctly built model.

If it were mine, I would send it back and make sure I recieved what I had ordered originally.
