I predicted this. The "scrum" is the White House Press Pool briefings has been allowed unchecked for too long. Simply establishing protocols, punishments and an appeal process long before this, would have likely thwarted this ruling.

This will be a win for Trump. If they tighten things up now for everyone, the press pool will despise Acosta for messing up their "good time"...These are selfish brats. This first temporary ruling was a 5th Amendment ruling on due process. Now the Whitehouse will map out a process for ejecting reporters and this should not be able to be used again.

I read the ruling, and it is as much or even more bullshit than this one is. Being allowed a WH PP is PURE privilege. Rights have ZERO to do with it.
The White House is where the President lives. There is no requirement at all to allow any press into the President's home, period. There is no requirement that he speaks to the press AT ALL, period. Believing the 5th amendment applies is a gross stretch that defies credulity. You have to interpret a number of words in the broadest way possible, infringe on Presidential power enormously, and make up law where it does not exist.
