Just a question for those who know. Put a deposit on a Big Horn Origin action and would like to order a stock. I'm a chassis kinda guy and will be building a couple of 6mm rifles on stocks. Manners and McMillan have some in stock. The action states that is patterned after Remington 700 but I found that in other actions (the port and bolt handle could be issues). So first question any one knows if regular Remington 700 inletted stock would work? Finally, I have a Surgeon bottom metal, would that have to be specially inletted or they're standard?

Not sure on the bottom metal profile. But I know my manners was a 700 footprint that the previous owner had a deviant in, and I had to lengthen the back of the ejection port cut by maybe a 1/4 inch or so. The Tl3, which I'd assume has the same port size as Origin, is longer than a 700. I also had to slightly modify the bottom forward area of the bolt handle cutout so it didn't contact the stock on the last few degrees of bold close. All easily achieved with a flat, and rat tail file. I would not be afraid to pick up and modify a stock in standard Remy 700 footprint.
