Starting a new build with a CADEX chassis that has an integrated top rail (a short action RACS to be specific) and I'm hoping to draw on the collective wisdom of the forum to find out what actions are compatible with the chassis.

Its been a few years since I've looked at actions and it seem like now there are a lot of companies using their own mounting solutions for the top rail. I know I can get a Remington action built out but I'm looking for other options at this point. It would be cool if something like the ARC Nucleus would work out?

thanks!

A couple of things. A RACS is different from a CADEX. They look similar but they are not the same. The Remington 700 is unique and different from other 700 pattern actions on the top. If a top rail chassis is meant for a Rem 700 it will only fit a Rem 700 without modification. This is true for the RACS chassis as well. I have a surgeon in a RACS and the top rail had to be modified. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the clarification!

Did Surgeon do the modification for you? If so, do they provide that service to everybody? thanks!
