We have different opinions on what constitutes pressure
the truth helps cement the idea in my head, whereas, doubt brought by 76 feet, 40 yards... moving... anchored against a pillar.... so on, well, I can't grasp smoke.
Nothing like getting the RO's all excited right off the bat.I’ll add this to the notes on this encounter. Every time you go to the range, emergency draw your ccw and empty it first thing.
They looked too sleepy to me. Practically napping!Nothing like getting the RO's all excited right off the bat.
Its the timer beep that initiates the pressure level LOL, course of fire? sequence? etc.Y'all want to measure how good you would be? Here are some tests for you:
For 08-01, a hit factor score (total points/total time) of 3.04 or higher is acceptable. 4.3 or higher is getting into the shit hot category.
For 03-14, a points score within par time (no hit factor on this one) of 57 or higher is acceptable. 80 or higher is getting into the shit hot category.
We started every drill with someone else firing a blank rifle. Damn those 556 blanks got expensive towards the end.Its the timer beep that initiates the pressure level LOL, course of fire? sequence? etc.
Is there a question in there? Its the timer beep that initiates the pressure level LOL, course of fire? sequence? etc.
Teach them properly Major.
Hey, let's not nit-pick this forever.
10yds, 50yds, moving or posted up this man jumped into the fight in a split second and landed 8 of 10 shots on target during complete pandemonium with an adrenaline hit. HELL YES

They were waiting for their adrenalin hit to wear off....Meanwhile the 400 cops outside the Uvalde school sat around with their thumbs up their asses.
At least four days a week for anywhere between 15 and 45 min. Make damned sure that your technique, particularly grip and grip force, is dead on or you'll just be burning in bad habits.@308pirate and other pistola slingers.. how often do y’all do dry firing practice? I try to get a good dry firing session in every single day on one of my AR’s(and it has helped for sure, especially so with standing/unsupported).. but I want to focus in more on handguns as that would obviously be the one I’d more likely have to use in defense.
Depends on the pistol. DA/SA CZs? Absolutely yes (or a small o-ring in over the firing pin out the back of the slide). For all others, highly recommended even if it isn't strictly necessary.Also- are snapcaps truly necessary for dry firing? I know empty dry firing is a no no with rim fires obviously, but strictly talking CF here..

And for the love of all that is Holy do not waste your money on laser and recoil producing gimmicks. They are completely unnecessary despite what the tactitards will tell you.
Finally modify every handgun that you have that will support a red dot sight. Then buy a Trijicon RMR or SRO for each one. Reflex optics are The Way.
Cold practice is good. Saw one dude advocating working out hard and THEN doing your shooting so you're whipped and fatigued when you do your practice.I’ll add this to the notes on this encounter. Every time you go to the range, emergency draw your ccw and empty it first thing.
It doesn't matter
Even this?It sure the heck does, whatever was used will sell.
You’d be bloody fucking surprised how often your ccw piece eats shit when you do it this way.Cold practice is good. Saw one dude advocating working out hard and THEN doing your shooting so you're whipped and fatigued when you do your practice.
That's not a bad way to practice keeping your hits where they need to be after a fight, having to sprint to the aid of loved ones, etc.
Yep. Even that.Even this?

Why would you favor a snap cap over a laser device that acts like a snap cap - but with immediate feedback as to where the POI is?At least four days a week for anywhere between 15 and 45 min. Because you need to use your sights (irons or dot, same deal) to determine where the POI was when you "pressed" the trigger without any instant feedback from the target. That's how you learn to call your shots in real time instead of looking at the target for holes. Why would you favor a snap cap over a laser device that acts like a snap cap - but with immediate feedback as to where the POI is?
You must be new to shooting. Gear queers is the name of the game now.Ok it matters to gear queers
Since you seem to enjoy being confrontational in about every other post.....Because you need to use your sights (irons or dot, same deal) to determine where the POI was when you "pressed" the trigger without any instant feedback from the target. Dry fire without any feedback to know that they moved the gun when they pulled the trigger isn't teaching them anything other than figuring out where the trigger breaks.
If you practice enough with the laser - you won't have to look at the target or your sights to know if you hit it. That's just how you learn where the shot is GOING to go WHILE you are learning it.
Nailed it!Wait, are you one of those point shooting retards?
LOL
You just keep telling yourself that - if it makes you feel better. That's what sights are for. To provide the feedback. The fact that you don't get that tells me all I need to know about your skill with a handgun.
Unless you're shooting at a USPSA M or GM level, I have no reason to listen to you because I am way past you in handgun skill.
You just keep telling yourself that - if it makes you feel better.
Will you be wearing your traditional pink bunny suit?

Their use helps you mimic a misfire, clear a jam, etc.@308pirate

Not on private property. Only on certain govt locationsIs ignoring a 'no gun' sign a crime there?
