I say we go tit for tat with a black flag law. If a known violent criminal escapes custody and is considered to be 'armed and dangerous', or if someone makes a credible threat of any terroristic act and suddenly hoofs it, that person automatically goes on the 'shoot on sight' list.
Bring in the perp dead, get the bounty paid in full up front. We'll see the FBI's Most Wanted list shrink overnight like nutsacks in a cold shower.

Most states and local jurisdictions allow the purchase and ownership of long guns at the age of 18. Alcoholic beverages are restricted until age 21. The guest speaker is obviously not that familiar with laws.
But then, this entire case is now reeking worse than a hog farm on an August afternoon. All of the articles posted on page 1 of this thread has confirmed that "Sol Pais" has been found dead from a "self inflicted gunshot wound".
So let me get this straight. A mentally deranged individual with a fascination with mass school shooters fly all the way to Colorado from Florida, legally purchases a shotgun without giving off any visible cues of psychological distress.........Only to "commit suicide" hours later and was conveniently found just in time for the evening news.

Been a while since I've been at that elevation outside of an aircraft. I remember shooting at that elevation. Good times.

I would run and push the stroller with my kid.
I could take the wheels off and put on skis in the winter and tow her while back country skiing on roads that were packed down and shallow powder.
You get used to it.
And so everyone knows, @ArmyJerry is just pissed I can buy weed and visit a quality sandwich place and ice cream place in my flip flops from my house..... and wave at the cops while carrying an oz of grass.
I dont get the wake n bake crowd or the heavy smokers. I dont really care what they do privately. Just like I enjoy an IPA or whiskey from time to time.
I got too much energy and stuff to do to be smokin that stuff.

When this news hit i was at my local gun store in Denver Metro area. It was awesome they were passing around a phone with the woman’s photo and letting people know.
My next stop was one of the schools that ended up shut down today to pick up my son.
Made me pretty damn proud of the store and the guys that work there. Even more so when the school asked if i knew and i got to explain how, otherwise i would have been unaware.

My question is which is a better show of taking care of business. Cancelling schools and causing such an uproar or have every school have cops, full gear and ARs on patrol outside?
I do not support a police state and in the instance of an actual threat, would prefer that option over cancel everything and create hysteria.
I will volunteer to protect my kids school.......

It's not a Me Too movement, it's a ME movement. EVERYONE cares about themselves and no others. As long as "my family" is safe, no one gives a fuck. We were so worried about OUR kids, yes I had one at home that day, that we NEVER considered her and her needs.
