Gunsmithing Adding BLACK grip texture to a hunting rig?

I want to use something that is black.

Can anyone recommend something that will work well and is black?

I am going to tape off the area I want to texture, spread the medium, and spike it up with a tongue depressor or something.

I'll probably refer to Randy's tutorial on his R & D Precision website when I do this.

I was going to use Marine-Tex but ended up using a sample of truck bed-liner b/c it was free. It worked really well and has the right amount of grit for what I wanted. Just brushed it on and didn't have to pat it w/a tongue depressor. Almost has a course sand paper feel.

Tell you what. Looking for Marine-tex on the internet I am only seeing grey and white. Anyone know if they make black?

I want to make my rifle as nice as a Tac Ops. He he.

Look for some auto under spray they have all kinds.
