Recently purchased a Robar RC50. I have a few issues that I need some help with.

1- Cannot get a good cheekweld with this rifle. Already have low rings and cannot go any lower. Does anyone make an adjustable cheekrest for the McMcmillan stock? The top stock is inlet pretty far back for the bolt, so I would need one of the cheekrests that fits over the stock.

2- Do not really like to Parker Hale bipod. Just doesnt seem very stable. Is there another type of bipod that will work with the same mount? Or, should I be looking to get a bottom rail added to the stock?

3- Who can do this work in a timely manner?

Thanks in advance for the help. Here is a pic of the rifle.

Re: Adj. cheekrest on a giant stock

thanks for the info. Ill give the Karsten a look. I do think that Im gonna need that type of rest due to the large cutout in the stock for the bolt

Take a look at the LR Accuracy Bipods, the first ones were designed for big 50's and 338's but even the lightest ones that are out now (Light Tactical) is still more table than anything else I've used. I think that they make a mega sized one for the 50cals too.

I don't think you would be able to manipulate the bolt with one of those. As that bolt looks like it would go too far back.

If the op could post a picture with perhaps the bolt in the furthermost open position. Also note: you are going to want to add a little more room to allow the bolt to be removed for cleaning unless you want to remove the cheekrest each time.

I would opt for the way Mcree Chassis, or the Armalite AR-50 Chassis in that you have a cheekrest that is only connected on one side. Something like that could be pretty easily fabricated, or even maybe purchased from one of those companies.

McMillan sells a cheek rest for that stock.

Here is a pic from one of cdixon's threads.

As for the bipod, mine has a large spigot and uses what I believe is the M14 bipod.

Would contact McM about the cheekpiece or maybe stockdoc.

Bipod for spigot mounting, the PH one is good if you do a few slight modifications, a friction lock witch will help the unstability, and rubber feet.
Other spigot bipods, as to my knowledge at least, atlas makes a spigot adapter kit, for they're bipods.
Roedale RH50 F T/R Match Bipod, is good but might be a bit hard to get hands on in the US.

If i were to choose one for a 50 i'd go with the heavy LRA version but it's expensive, and no spigot mount adapters.
