Will most handguards accomodate the ability to adjust a low profile adjustable gas block when it is under a longer handguard?

Thoughts?

Are you talking on a .308 or .223? It's also going to probably be dependent on your handguard. On my GAP I was told it wouldn't fit and to use the PRI adjustable.

I know for a fact that a older style JPGS-5 wont fit under a Wilson Trim rail, its just a little too tight. I think the newer style is a bit smaller but if the rail is just barely going to cover the gas block then check out the new JP JPGS-SO with the adjustment screw of the front.

Currently, I have the DPMS supplied handguards. My carbine has a mid length DMPS rail with the mid length gas tube. I was considering using some kind of low profile adjustable gas block under a rifle length handguard...would like to use something smaller in OD like the JT or otherwise.

I would like the adjustability of the gas block for running suppressed with subsonic ammo. I'd like the longer rail for more protection and having a longer distance between rail mounted sights.

Oh, thanks! I had seen that block via Syrac site, but I didn't know JP was cooperating. Might be a solution for the carbine.

The PRI low profile adjustable might work, but one with a switch would probably require cutting out an area of the handguard by the switch.

Another thanks... Had done some looking, and I didn't find the PRI adjustable blocks with my search engines.

I had thought about making a cut in a handguard, but I was hoping that this might have been thought through by some manufacturers...thus a slot or something. Sounds like YMMV...
