Adjustable Gas Block

Re: Adjustable Gas Block

Well there are times when it would be nice like you say on a suppressed gun. I'm thinking about getting the noveske myself. I'm still waiting on my form 4 so no big rush and I'll only be using a mini suppressor so I might be able to just play with buffers if needed. If I need one I'll stick with a major brand like noveske.

Re: Adjustable Gas Block

I've heard about the set screw backing out, but I haven't noticed it happen yet.

I shoot a PRI Adjustable on my Armalite 300 SAUM and I've got it completely closed and it still has plenty of gas to cycle.

The first few times I went out, I double checked when I got done.
Only got 86 rounds through it to date, but so far, no change.

I think if you're going back and forth between shooting suppressed/unsuppressed, the general consensus is to find a place that allows it to cycle smoothly with both, and then just use loctite.

OR.

Test out this new one and mark your suppressed/unsuppressed spots on the block and keep us posted.

I've heard good reviews of the Palidan Machine adjustable block, but I'm happy enough with the PRI that I'll probably be using it till I hear of something else ultra awesome.

Re: Adjustable Gas Block

I put a PRI Adjustable block on mine and like it. I put it on more-so because the 308's tend to be overgassed a bit. I adjusted it so it would shoot my weakest load and then put lock tight on it. If I were to ever get a suppressor I would probably adjust it for the suppressor and set it. After all, why would I ever shoot my gun unsuppressed if I had one...............
