Has anyone used the Fortis Ultralite Back Rest sold by Alacritas Innovations in the UK ?. If so, I would appreciate your review. Thanks in advance.

Looks like this thread got moved wholesale from the Optics forum.

I have seen a review by SharpshootingUK here:

Looks interesting. For my purposes (100-600 yds vermin shooting off a bench) a stock with an angled bag riding area to ease elevation adj plus a squeeze bag is the ticket.

I could see someone who shoots WAY out there, in prone, at tiny rabbit-sized targets might really benefit from it. The UK bloke does tend to shoot from hills/hillsides, so I could see adjusting the buttstock may be more ergonomic than readjusting the bipod height.

Plus, as the review notes, that unit is lighter than 2-3 different sized rear bags.

Thanks for including the video and your comments. I was advised that this thread should have started in armory.

Call me the necromancer - I revive zombie threads. I should get bonus for this one because it is in the wrong cemetery.
Its a case of using the search feature though, I search first, find accurate/relatable thread then post.

Anyway I like DIY stuff and I'm working on an adjustable bag rider system for my bench rifles. I have an unusual setup, and was looking for a review of Sightron glass and found that video up there and his adjustable rear base. I already had something like that in mind before I saw the video but that version seems very good. Are there any other adjustable rear rest I need to consier
I'm about to make one that is similar.

I'm literally on blue jean bags filled with sand now (and a crown royal squeezer)
Hope all is well, have a great weekend!
Rumble video for the rifles in question:
