I finally made a purchase and can now shoot longer ranges. I picked up a Bergara B14-HMR. Today I mounted and bore sighted a Leupold Mark 5 on Talley Picatinney rail with Talley tactical 35 mm rings. Here's the problem. Now my adjustable Cheek weld piece doesn't go high enough. The scope is to high. I was hoping that Bergara sold a higher cheek weld piece for the stock, but I sure as hell can't find one. I am contemplating going old school and building the cheek weld piece up with mole skin. But it's going to be a lot of mole skin. Another option is to find another way to mount the scope. Any thoughts?

What is your ring height? Low, Medium, High, Extra High? How close is the bell of the scope to the barrel? Is your base 20moa? With that scope I doubt you'll need a 20 moa rail.
They have cheek pads that you can buy that give you more height, a lot of people just cut out computer mouse pads and glue them on

First and foremost, please excuse these simple questions. I have a military background, but I was an 03. Never pursued Sniper school (one of my regrets). So scopes and mounts are new ground for me. Now, looking at the receipt, looks like I have Extra Long Talley Rings. I should have done my research and ordered everything myself. But I didn't. Going to order the Talley medium 35mm rings and see how much that drops the scope. Currently I have over 3/4" of clearance between the bell of the scope and the barrel.

Might be some of your problem. See how close your bell is to your barrel. You might be able to get a way with a lower set.
I don't think you'll run out of adjustment zeroing with that scope and ring combo but I have no idea. A friend had a 1 inch scope with a set of "see through ring" so he could use his sights as well. At 100 we ran out of adjustment to get on target. Though he was using a cheap Redfield on a 700 bdl.
I use Leupold mountain tech rings medium height and just need a less than a 1/4 inch added to the comb on the stock, but I have a fat head so your mileage may vary. Those rings aren't the best and I don't think they are not 35mm but they worked for me with my needs. Someone will be along with other suggestions.

3/4” between scope bell and barrel is at least 1/2” more then needed. Lots of rings out there in addition to Talley.

Such as? Bear in mind, I am new to scopes and scope mounting. My scope has a 35mm tube, which makes things harder. Also, I have a Picatinny rail that the rings are attaching to. Can I attach directly to the scope mounts without a rail? That would put me where I need to be as far as Cheek weld is concerned.
The tube diameter doesn't really make a difference its the diameter of the scope bell. You want the bell as close to the barrel as possible which in turn means the scope is as low as possible and easier to get cheek weld with. I am not sure of the diameter but you can call leupold and they can make suggestions of the rail/ring height combo. I'm going to guess a medium height would work but its a guess. Someone may have experience with your scope and be able to make a suggestion. You may be able to go to a shop with a smith and have them help you get the right height.

I just got done installing a set of American Defense Manufacturing 35mm rings. Dropped the scope a little more than 3/16"...
I picked up a bradley cheek rest a few years back and I love it. I have the one with the fixed adjustment. They send you tons of different sized straps to get the mount just right.
I actually have a Bergara on order and had the same concern with the adjustment on the stock. I dont really want to move or adjust it each time I shoot. Repeatability is key.
