Little background, my last scope was able to zero at 100yds leaving around 2
Mils in down travel setting a 30 moa base. I received a new scope and today while zeroing it the very last .1 mil was my 100 yards zero. Should I just roll with it and concider it a lucky zero stop. It should I change to a 20 moa and get the zero more in the middle of the erector? I hold Windage so that adjustment should be a problem.

Re: Adjustment range at bottom?

No I'm fine with it being zeroed there just wanting to make sure the erector wasn't in a bind. If the scope is fine there then all is well.

Btw knight looking forward to cookville

Glad to hear it, look forward to meeting you.

As long as the final adjustment to bottom out your erector wasn't a hard click you should be fine, assuming its a quality optic.

Re: Adjustment range at bottom?

Some LE types like a 25 yard zero for very close engagement. That would .4 mil under your 100 yard zero depending on the scope hieght.

At 100 to 300 yards unless your in a heller thunderstorm the amount of windage will be tiny compared to what you would need at 1000 so it shouldnt be a real problem.

The fact that his erector is bottomed out is still ok. Add elevation or hold high for shots closer than 100.

As sobr said, Unless its a comp and you shooting against me, then hold under

Re: Adjustment range at bottom?

Keep in mind that when you are zeroed that far down in your adjustment range the erector spring is probably completely compressed. Not such a big deal in the short term however there is the potential that the spring will take a set and you'll have tracking issues as you start to dial in more elevation. I don't have any experience with this Bushnell product line however I've seen it before in other optics so it's something to consider.
