ADL to BDL conversion questions

I currently have a R700 30-06 ADL rifle and am looking at at replacement stock that is a BDL version. my rifle is an older version with the old Remington trigger, pre-xmark. the internal mag box is a spring steel box that screws to the bottom side of the receiver with a small screw and has a spring and follower for the internal mag. ive never dealt with an ADL before so I don't know it the screw is normal or not.

if I go with a BDL stock, do I need to replace the spring steel box, spring and follower with the BDL bottom metal or can I just get away with the BDL bottom metal only and keep what I have?

You only need the bdl bottom metal all else is the same

You will actually need a "BDL" magazine box too as the ADL box is about .100 longer than the BDL box. Or just grind the bottom of the ADL box off to fit with the BDL floorplate with about .020" or so clearance.

Yep you need the whole shebang, bottom metal/ mag box spring/follower and the bdl mag box won't have the tab for a screw just leave out the screw
