Title says it all, but I was pretty proud to shoot a(measuread outside to outside with calipers) a .780 5 shot group with my DPMS LR 308, 100 yrds. Now before I get hounded I must admit that I am a 1/2 MOA shooter as long as the M stands for mountain I can hit half of it, meaning that I am not a great shot. I wasn't sure the gun had it in it but I am finding out it is more capable than I am. Anyway. just had to post this as it is a milestone in my ever so short shooting hobby. 1st 1/2 moa group.

Re: Advanced, not a chance

Everyone starts at some point. I couldn't hit a sheet of paper at that distance the first time using a bi-pod. Some , ok a lot, of practice and I got a 5 shot group of 2.5 inches at 500 meters. I almost never shoot for groups but curiousity does overcome me sometimes.

Great- if you don't handload yet, and want to eliminate ammo as a factor, be sure to shoot SMKs exclusively, preferably Federal Gold Match (the real pricey black and red box

). World of difference from everything else. My 308s like 175s.
