I have a Bushnell LMSS with a non tremor Horus reticle which I have gotten good use out of but want to step up the glass. Going to buy the Nightforce CFS and will probably select the mil xt s reticle. They have a tremor 4 version and I am trying to understand why anyone would pick that reticle.
Nightforce cfs
My primary purpose is shot spotting and I think the wind dots will only obscure my view and provide zero useful info. I suppose you could hold at the same dot if the shooter is using a tremor reticle and give them a quicker correction in the same language. “Move 1 dot right and 3 mils up.” Seems overly complicated and I’m too lazy to constantly move and level the spotter. I like to hold the reticle center target because I find shots that miss high don't miss too high and are easier to spot with no reticle in the way while still allowing me to give a correction. I have had no formal training in this but just seems to work best for me.
Am I missing something here? I assume they wouldn’t pay Horus to use this reticle for no reason.
