Advice for starting local precision 22lr match?

I'm an officer in a local club and after a couple years I have finally convinced the powers that be to have a trial run of a precision 22lr match this Sunday 10/27, similiar to NRL22, but without their rules, regulations. Mainly just a run what you brung for bragging rights.
If this takes off I hope to maybe try and be NRL22 affiliate but that's way down the road.
Our club is mainly practical pistol club so it's unknown if anybody would be a "serious" rimfire shooter.

Club doesn't have any KYL targets and as we are mostly a pistol club so we have bigger steel.
Max distance we can shoot on our range is about 60 yards, but IF this gets going we could look at longer distances.

Any advice on how to make it challenging without putting off a large majority of people who might be interested?

Our steel hangers are about 6-8in so I'd assume covering part of the targets?

I'm going to try the egg challenge at 50 yards.

good luck sounds like a fun time .
I liked the look of these and the frustration it holds .

only a 30 yard target for rifle you could do the same thing only closer for pistol maybe slightly larger na smaller and more frustrating sounds more fun . another one that looks fun to me is this almost the same but just a small target

Ok, now I'm confused. Would this be a rimfire pistol match, or rimfire rifle match? The target stand that acudaowner posted is cleanable with a good rifle at 50 yards. Limited to 60 yards, you'll need to be creative to come up with a sufficiently challenging course of fire. 6" steel targets are going to be HUGE.

Golf ball challenge would be fun for maybe 50 yards and I'll try it thanks.

This is for rifle, sorry for not being clear. The 6in targets would have to be covered to offer some sort of challenge. As this is a trial run I have to use what the club has with very minimal cost to see how viable it is.

I know i posted rifle targets but the idea could be adapted to pistol and closer range the targets they used could be made from other cheaper material card board just an example duck and bear shaped cut outs ground hogs cats if that strikes your fancy you could even make a card board version of the old amusement park shooting gallery like these

It's all up to your imagination . go to any junk yard trash heap in the country and you could find an almost unlimited supply of material to work with that is pretty much free or pertain near free . though it will require imagination and assembly . soda cans filled hours of fun shooting as a kid as an older kid it still does .

What about reactive targets like animal cracker or Necco Wafers. I've shot empty brass before. Empty shotgun shells. I've seen shoot and see targets that are small animal silhouettes.
