I am in process of having a custom 700 6.5 creedmoor built and planning on a 4x16x44 HST scope. Rifle will be used for hunting and target shooting.
For hunting, using the sub tends out to 400 yds and for target shooting dialing from 400 to 1000 yds.
Trying to keep rifle with clean lines so two piece bases and hinged floor plate. I would like to use Warne bases and rings, but the HST has 75 MOA adjustment range and am concerned that will not be enough margin at 1000 yds as I need 33.6 MOA at 1000 (2x a year otherwise shooting 400-600)
Do you think the optics at 1000 will be too degraded due to only having 3-4 moa margin that I will have to have a 20 moa base?
