I have ordered a Marlin x7 .308. It hasn't came in yet. I was wondering if anyone has this model rifle and what kind of scope I should put on it. I was thinking of a Sunoptics 4-12x40.

just b/c it's a cheap rifle doesn't mean you should skimp on optics. My marlin is still getting figured out but it's got a couple sub 1/2" loads that it really likes. I have ground off the pads at the front of the stock and completely floated the barrel. Nikon,Leupold, etc...the usual bandits. Have seen some good deals from Cameraland lately on the Vortex line too.
Enjoy that rifle...most shoot better than the guy behind them, and they ALL seem to like Federal blue box ammo. mine will do 1- .75" all day with blue box 150 gr's.

At least take a look at the SS offerings from SWFA. I have a SS10x that is a great piece, and not too spendy.

Ive got an Xs7 that I acquired in a trade right here on the Hide. It shoots VERY well and rivals some high dollar guns that I have in the accuracy dept. Having said that, your Marlin deserves as much glass as you can afford. Don't skimp and you wont be disappointed!
