Affordable Tripod Setup - Anyone Running Leofoto 324c and LH40 Head?

Yes. I thought for $300 off Amazon, what the hell.

Honestly it's a nice little tripod that weighs around the same as RRS. I never shoot standing with a tripod and don't see a need to, so keep that in mind. Primary uses were binos and rear support for matches as well as kneeling/sitting for hunting.

Depending on your height, you will probably need the included center column for binos as it's not tall enough without it (standing). I'm 6'1" and things are pretty much maxed out but comfortable.
My main complaint.. taking the ball head off to install the center extension, then putting it on the column.

One thing I do really like about the center column once it's on the legs - it's easy for guys of various heights to get on the glass in your squad at a match.

I ended up adding a RRS Vyce for hunting. In short, it meets my needs.

I also saw this on B&H and thought about it. Holds 33 pounds, which is plenty for a rifle. It's not an RRS but at $325 it may be well worth it.

I can't bring myself to spend what the RRS costs!

I'm 5'6" I bet it'll work for me lol. Is the ball head stout or is the lh55 the way to go?

A brand new offering by Leofoto is the 365c and LH-40 ball head. It is a little beefier and basically has the same legs as the beefy 364c but has a small top. I sell these and it is a great all around setup at just 4 lbs
Interesting.. how tall is it? Does it have a center column as well?

I ended up ordering my ball head and other parts from you. I would have gotten the tripod too if I had found u first!!!

Buy from Sand Sock. Easy to deal with and quick shipping!

That's impressive. I wouldn't think the ball head would be able to hold the rifle like that.

I didn’t expect it either. I clamped it down and held my hands a few inches under the butt to catch it when it tipped back.

Didn’t even know the rifle was there. Well worth the cash and considering how little I use it relative to the amount of stages shot, I don’t have a need to pony up for an RRS.
