AI AE MK3 after market adjustable trigger

Re: AI AE MK3 after market adjustable trigger

I do not know the AE MK 2 OR 3 trigger at all.
I am using one stage very light trigger for competitions 300-600 meter range.(prone posision)
I am afaid that the AE MK3 trigger is to heavy for that kind of shooting. What is your opinion?
Thank you Graham

Re: AI AE MK3 after market adjustable trigger

My opinion is that you need to try it before you decide it's a problem.

I have not touched mine since it left the factory. However I did get to dry fire Stacey Blankenship's AI and it was a scary light trigger. The range of adjustment seems pretty broad.

To directly answer your question, no there are no aftermarket triggers for the AE/AW that I am aware of. However I believe this is because they are not needed.

I bet the market for TRG triggers is gonna be pretty skinny.

However I am a big fan of "if it works, why replace it?". I can buy lots of bullets for what some of these triggers cost. </div></div>
I agree, some people want something different, (even if it may not be better). On one of the threads here there is a guy that replaced his TRG trigger with a Jewell, needless to say, he didn't get the approval that he was hoping for. LOL.
I love two stage triggers, but there are people who hate them, so I guess that might be another market for a replacement trigger.

Re: AI AE MK3 after market adjustable trigger

IIRC the AI trigger can be adjusted to almost no first stage. I have no idea how safe that is, but the difference between some of the AI's I have felt and my factory settings give me a good idea that an aftermarket trigger is totally unnecessary for any reason other than "just because".
