Any body know anything about these and possible release dates?

Alternatively, would it be possible get to custom made bolt heads and barrel cut for smaller calibers (408,375, etc) CONUS?

Spoke to AINA I think a few months ago at this point. Supposedly they got a mil contract for 408 CT conversions in Europe. So thay definetly happening. Eta of course is still unknown at this time.

the tenon is M39x2.0
a 1.72" breech diameter is fine, but be aware theres not a lot of clearance in there up by the handguard. You do need a step down to 1.65" at about 2.3"-2.4". So you wont be able to use a 1.70+ heavy varmint type contour barrel
Thank you so much for that info! I ordered a 1.7”X4” straight taper to 1.5” finish. I guess I need to have it contoured down

I know its a semi old thread, but incase someone was googling like myself figured i would share. Shot AI an email about the ax50 conversions and they said:

"We do not currently have plans to offer .375 calibre conversion kits due to other higher priorities in development."

before i purchased q4 2022 they said q1 of 2023 was the goal. Hoping they dont bail on the 408 too.

Of they're still doing the 408ct for a contract righr?

Aren't the CTs both the same bolt face?

In which case, grab the bolt from them and have a smith spin up other 375 ct barrel and go, or am I missing something?

Let's see... got my ELR August of 2021. Nearly 3 years later calbier conversion kit has yet to show up.

That's about Normal for AI!

Maybe another year or two... three :)

I feel ya. I bought mine early ‘23 not knowing AI’s excruciating product release timelines. Now I’m sitting here with a new barrel, brass, bullets, and a reamer. Only missing one thing…

what do you know about this? Will they be offering barrels?
Thanks for any info.
I'm not sure about the Mrad platform.
The website does state different calibers will be offered, so they'll probably offer barrel, bolt and mags. As of now it's showing 416 Barrett only.
Really not sure until it happens though.
The AI platform will only supply the bolt and mags, you'll have to source your barrel.

Wondering if anyone could do a 416 Barrett barrel for one. I havnt heard about AI doing one.
I've bought an AX-50 from Mile High a few years ago, have been enjoying shooting the .50 cal suppressed with a SOCOM50 out to 2000 yards, but have been waiting for AI for release their conversion kits. I got tired of waiting, so I moved forward ordering reamers and a Bartlein blank (approximately 8-month lead time for a 2"x40"), to get an interchangeable .416 Barrett barrel. Hopefully by the time, I get this .416 completed in 2025, a CT .408 conversion kit will be available to give me three caliber options on this AX-50 ELR platform.

I spoke with them months ago and they said they were assigning part numbers for the bolts and that they would be available towards the end of October but I’m fairly sure it’s January and I’ve yet to see anything

Yea that timeline has already slipped from Q4 2021. The damn bolts are already in use over seas. Incredibly disappointing that it’s January and they are already saying end of the year. It’s frustrating how they keep promising things only to fall flat.

Yep, fully agree. I bought my AX50 ELR several years ago, with expectations to have a few different caliber configuration options for it a long time ago. I'm getting a .416 barrel spun up for it now (also a year+ process), and hopefully (someday) can get a .375CT barrel spun up for it as well, whenever AI releases their .375 bolt in North America. Frustrating indeed!

How/where did you go to have the .416 barrel done? I'm giving up on the Cheytacs ever coming to fruition, so .416 Barrett it'll have to be.

I'm working with Black Canyon Customs in Colorado on my .416 Barrett barrel project. The long pole in the tent is getting a high-quality blank in the needed size. I decided to go with a Bartlein blank, and it can take up to year to receive the blank in the diameter and length needed.
