So when are these suppose to be out? I have heard that a few smiths are making custom rifles with them, but I cannot find any references on when they are suppose to be out.

I have been trying to convince myself that I need to buy one and start a project like this:

But since WA isn't a SBR friendly state I would need to permanently attach a suppressor to make it a 16"

Link is to Remington chassis ,not the AI...

Re: AI AXCS?

Blasphemy maybe, but IMHO, the XLR may be a better chassis than the AXCS. If the AXCS is like the AX, I found the pistol grip to be too short for my tastes. To clarify, it is not shorter than that area on the AICS but without the thumb hole design the pinkie has no place to go. I believe the XLR allows the use of AR grips. The JP chassis is nice but a lot more expensive than the XLR.

Yeah, but I wrote it off because the barrel is cheated to the top of the tube, not centered. At least that is what it looks like on there website.

Re: AI AXCS?

One of these days I plan on picking up a milling machine and lathe and learning how to use them. But for now I am stuck buying off the shelf.

I have the ok from the wife to put in a 40x60 shop with a metal shop and wood shop set up inside, but it'll probably be next year before that can happen.

I think I found what I want in the AXCS, so that is why I was asking about it. The RACS looks promising too, but the price is likely more then I want to pay.

I wont take offense to your comment, because I think you were just asking a question, and not trying to be a jerk.

Re: AI AXCS?

I was considering an AX for my build from UGSW but opted to go with the AICS instead.

Now with saying that, my wife had a chance to visit the shop where the AICS and AXCS are made here in the US, having a tour, seeing the process from raw aluminum stock to finish product and seeing the panels/skins made for the AICS chassis. She handled one of the AX chassis and thought it was nice but still prefered the AICS (her preference). Each has its pro's & con's.

I'd like to try one though as they seem like a nice piece of kit with options.

Where did you buy it? How much did you pay for it? I want one so bad...

Maybe on your side of the "pond" but they aren't available stateside anywhere that I have seen yet. Last "internet rumor" I heard was late summer/Sept. availability, but only AINA probably knows for sure (if they even know). I know that a select few have some in hand because they are being used on custom rifle projects, but general commercial availability is a little ways off yet.
