What is required to convert a .300WM to .338LP? Just a barrel or is it a bolt and a barrel?

When I bought a 300WM bolt body in like 06, it was near a grand.

I belive you can just open up the bolt face. No need to buy a bolt unless you wanna both 300wm and 338lp

As a suggestion you could always go the 30/338Lap route. That way all you need is a new barrel and you don't have to get a new bolt or mags.

You should be able to get just the bolt body. And swap the inards between the two in about 10 secs.
Fairly certain that costs less than a grand......give the guys at AINA a call.

In 2006 the bolt body was approx $850.
Make sure you get the complete extractor and ejector assemblies. Swapping the spring and plunger under the extractor is a huge pain.

Bolt body complete ($880 range), you swap out the rear safety/firing sector from your other bolt, barrel ($875 range) and magazine and you are ready to go.
