Gunsmithing AICS 2.0 and AICS AX ..Anyone else consider this?

....Roedale deserves some credit, but I noticed something that may be possible with the old AICS and new AX stocks.

I LOVE the rear end of the new AX rifles.....basically the pistol grip and lower profile stock. But I can't stand everything in front of the trigger guard. I noticed that the "skin" of the AX could possibly be modified to work with the old AICS. It seems that the screws should match up. The only hard part would be cutting the old skin inlet so it will match with the AX grip area skin.

I'm all for custom stuff, but in this case wouldn't it be easier and less ghetto to get some Viper Skins?

I thought the new skins allowed for both thumbhole or pistol grip

As of 2012 you could switch between the two skins options at will. No parade needed.
