I just received an AICS 1.5 la for a 700 SS 55 .300 win mag. First of all it seems the tang is a bit too long but I eventually got it "tucked" under so to speak where the action screw would fit properly. Torqued it to spec and thought all was well. Then I tried to adjust the safety and it wouldn't move. I took it back out and saw where the trigger was comtacting the housing. Will a file take care of this .... Or do I need a dremol?? Any thoughts and suggestions welcome. Thanks AS

Im using both aics 2.0 and aics ax..using jewell on aics definitely need a minor modification.. theres two things ive done both works for me.. on my aics 2.0 identical to yours i filed the head rebits (i think thats what its called lol) thin enough till you can push n pull safety.heres other one you can do ive done it on my aics ax use a dremel and shave the trigger channel a litle.in my case i used table drill:) for cleaner look

Just take a file or a dremol(works faster) and open up the housing. So you don't get any binding on the trigger.
Not to bust b**ls this has been discussed so many times here it should be second nature and some common sense should be used.

Only my wife busts balls. I am new to the chassis game so second nature would be pushing it. But thank you for your response
