I have a L/A 700 in 300 Win Mag in a Cadex chassis and with 10 round AI mags, 208 A-Maxes are jumping forward and deforming the tips when I shoot. I am using a Badger FTE break. Is this a regular issue or is there some way to fix this? I will switch to 210 SMKs or VLDs if I have to but the A-Maxes shoot great in this rifle so I would rather not. Just for reference my O.A.L. is 3.605. Thanks for the help.

do you have any photos? did you empty the mag after shooting a few or did you notice this after chambering and extracting
a live round? is the last one the worst of the bunch, or does it seem to be worse on one particular round more then
another.
those tips are pretty tough, i wonder if there is a problem some where else, feed ramp maybe?
on a side note, i shoot with a buddy that uses those mags at about the same length and no problem.

The feed ramp on my Stiller Action / AICS 6.5 Creedmoor combo does damage to every 140 A-Max I feed through it. That was one of the largest reasons I switched to Bergers frankly, because they seemed to feed more smoothly and with less damage to the bullet tip....

Either my Stiller Tac 30 or the AW mags are giving my 300 WSM trouble with 178 AMAX. I haven't seen damaged tips, but I do have to reposition the cartridge in the mag a lot of times to get it to feed. Is there a fix for that?
