This is my first dabble into 6.5x47L - used a surgeon action /bartein barrel and a KRG whiskey-3 chassis - got a bunch of new accuracy mags (10 rounders) , and after cleaning up the lips to stop the brass being scratched to pieces , it still seems very hard to cycle the bolt ( like the spring pressure from the mag is too much) and feeding seems hit or miss as to weather it will pick up the cartridge or not,

My question is any tips or tricks you can share to get these running with this cartridge.

Thanks in advance
Tim

I have a Tac 30 action in an AICS 1.5 chassis and have 243 Win and 6.5x47L barrels and with the AI 5 and 10 round mags it feeds both cases as smooth as anything I have ever shot,,you may have better luck with AI mags as I dont think it has anything to do with the 6.5x47 round,,

Just borrowed a real AI mag from a buddy - the thing functions flawless - I cannot believe that 7 of 7 accurate-mags are absolute shit - on further checking only one functions in my buddies .308 and it is rough as anything and is marring the brass like a dog chewed it.

I have AICS mags and they work fine, but they do mark the brass some. Not horrible, but noticeable. I've lately been using the magpul mags and really, really like them. Butter smooth and no marks on brass. They feed absolutely perfectly from my MPA chassis, with both my .308 and 6.5x47 barrels.

if you go to masterpiece arms web page they have a video on how to adjust the feedlips of the mags. Maybe they just need to be adjusted. i run both accurate mags and aics mags without issue in a variety of chassis and actions. The mpa mag extension helps with a fully loaded 10rd mag and the extra effort required to close the bolt
