Does weight a bit more. But for a bench rifle or for shooting prone. None better. My Rem 700 SPS. Very pleasent to shoot. I am looking at the Viper Skins. Might get a Set of FDE for summer.

Re: AICS Comes in Wed. $808 Shipped from MidwayUSA

Apprehensive after reading so many different opinions, but I bought the AICS 1.5 in OD green and I think its a great stock with good balance. It felt very light to me but maybe weights around 5#.....Check out those Victory skins too.

Re: AICS Comes in Wed. $808 Shipped from MidwayUSA

I get 1/2 moa 5 shot groups at 100 yds all the time with my .308 handloads and my gun is the stock xcr tactical long range. My 338 remy 700 just gave me 1.625 3 shot groups at 500 yds. it has the 2.0 everybody that shoots my aics stocked guns love them. I agree on the prone and bench with the aics these things are super solid

Re: AICS Comes in Wed. $808 Shipped from MidwayUSA

I got a used 1.5 in green, but haven't had it very long. I was very apprehensive of spending this much, especially with all the talk about "you'll either love it or hate it". I had to modify my recoil lug and trigger to fit, but the first shots at the range convinced me that I made a very good decision. I have problems with cheek weld with other stocks, but the AICS with my NF mounted in TPS super low rings fit me perfect with no adjustment needed for the cheek riser. I'm glad I got one, and I'm considering getting another.

Found a MidwayUSA code for 75$ off...It expired on the 16th. I would do a google search to see if the have an updated code. The main reason I made this post was to let the hide member know about it...

Looks awesome man...quick question - why does the chassis extend past the stock sides? Is this the latest version the AICS? My factory AI AE MkIII doesn't have this?

I noticed that when I received the stock from MidwayUSA. I inspected it and it is not a part of the actually chassis and is removable(I just havent bothered). I just figured it was the AI bipod adapter...

Re: AICS Comes in Wed. $808 Shipped from MidwayUSA

Well I liked the first one so well, I got another but this time the 2.0. The 1.5 that I have has the mount for the nv rail, the 2.0 doesn't.

Why not with a Timney trigger? I was thinking of adding a Timney to my rig.

Would love to do this with my 5R.</div></div>

All you do is drop it in and torque it down. Some people bed them but I dont see a need.

Re: AICS Comes in Wed. $808 Shipped from MidwayUSA

I had to do in-let for the safety. It was very easy and really didn't need any special skills.

Just drill (dremel) sightly - very little.

Re: AICS Comes in Wed. $808 Shipped from MidwayUSA

You need to modify the Timney because when trying to enable the safety, it has a pin that protrudes from the left side that hits the inletting. I just hit the pin with a dremel a little. I engage the safety, take off a little from the pin then disengage the safety to make sure I don't take off too much. I believe you're safe as long as the pin doesn't go into the trigger, but flush when the safety is disengaged.

Re: AICS Comes in Wed. $808 Shipped from MidwayUSA

I bought one from Midway on my birthday, they have great birthday pricing! I like it allot better than the stock that came with the 5r and I did have to do a little Dremel work to get the Jewell trigger safety to work and I had to grind down the Holland lug to fit. No trouble floating my thumb either.
