Hi Guys,

My first post and proud owner of my very first bolt action, R700 308 Varmint.

Planning on adding the AICS 2.0 stock for a more tactical look.

I have searched all the pics here and Google and have yet to find one that has a bottom rail.

Is it possible to mount a picantiny (6 - 9")rail on the AICS handguard? Has anyone ever done it?

Or, is there adapters out there that will convert a QD sling mount to a pacantiny rail?

I am looking to add a rail mounted bipod to it.

Thanks is advance!!

Most folks are looking to improve the function of their rifle. You are the first person I have heard to spend $800 on a chassis to "look" more tactical.

i agree there are cheaper stocks that give the tactical look. the AICS provides a better more sound platform to work from thats why you drop $1100 on it, but good louck there are a lot of things you can add to it but its like a Harley everything is $100 or more much more.

As a lefty shooter with a right hand bolt action, the pistol grip design will help my thumb be out of the way when I cycle the bolt with my right hand. From the pics I've seen, the AICS stock allows the R700 barrel to float better than the factory stock.

To me, the AICS 2.0 looks cool. Bad ass. I hope this Accushot bottom rail works. I like the Atlas Bipod but I prefer the GG&G bipod.

My next step is to add a longer bolt knob. Then eventually upgrade the trigger.

Pics to follow>>>

That will look wicked tactical!!! Just make sure to put an equally tactical $200 scope on your $1000 stock.

I'm looking at the upgraded version of Counter Sniper Scope with Pentitanium-Beryloxide Nucleic coated rare earth Extra ED glass, 50mm tube!

NOT!! Just who are the luzers that actually gave that brand 5 stars?!!

Right now, I have the IOR 4-14x50 sitting on it.

The Atlas does things the GG&G cannot. However most will never notice on a flat range. I have already found several situations where the Atlas made a more stable firing position than anything else currently available short of a locking tripod system.

Cant beat the Atlas imo... perhaps the Sinclair IF you shoot BR. But besides that Atlas = win
